Eisenstadt on Sunday

We have booked a day tour from our hotel in Vienna to Eisenstadt to visit the Esterhazy Palace, Haydn's burial site and a stop for lunch. The tour is to go on a Sunday. I understand that much of rural Austria closes on Sundays. Will their be any shops, cafes or wineries open on Sunday?

Even if Eisenstadt is small I'd not call it "rural". Restaurants and cafes will be open, shops closed (like anywhere in Austria). The shop of the Esterhazy winery in the palace will be open.

BTW, don't miss Haydn's house, it's only a few minutes from the palace.

On "rural Austria" keep in mind that Eisenstadt is located in Burgenland, where you will see villages looking like those in Hungary.

Burgenland was traditionally Hungarian, not Austrian, but in 1919 it passed to Austrian control. Burgenland is interesting, I would suggest also seeing Haydn's house/museum, as recommended above.
