I have another question about traveling to Melk. Does the Einfach-raus ticket include all travel for the date purchased? In other words, would the 36-euro Einfach-raus ticket for a group of two include our travel from Vienna to Melk, then back to Vienna later that day? I've been to the OBB website, and it looks like numerous departures from Vienna qualify for the ticket. Would we need to be concerned about difficulties getting on a train? On a weekend? I'd originally thought to go to Melk on a weekday, but I see that the tickets can be used at any time on weekends, and since we're early risers, we'd like to get an early start.

Yes, you can use for a return trip. You have the same rights to board the train as anyone else, be they ticket holders or pass holders.

On a weekday it is not valid before 9am. You may not use it on long-distance express trains (RJ, RJX, EC, ICE) and on Westbahn trains.
