After we finish our coach tour in Munich, we are planning to drive to the Ehrwald Cable Car to view Mt. Zugspitze then drive back to Munch via Fussen, Germany! Google Maps says this is 4 hour round trip plus stops. The cable car is a 20 minute ride? spend maybe an hour taking it all in then proceed to Fussen, tour the outside of Neuschwanstein Castle and head back to our Hotel in Munich.
Is this doable in one day; we are used to driving?

P.S. The Eibsee Cable car on the Germany side is apparently closed?

Depends on what time your coach tour is done. Apparently not a day trip. From your tag-on post to another thread:
10 minutes on a 16 or 17 minute interval. The cabin capacity is 100. That means when you think its full, its only half full.

I'm sorry I guess I wasn't clear. We end our coach tour of Eastern Europe in Munich; then the next morning early we'll drive to Mt. Zugspitze; so we'll have the full day; assuming it's doable?

Sounds doable. Just check that it will be a clear day before spending a fair amount to go up.
