Drive from Hallstatt to the Salzbergbahn cable car? How to get to the Skywalk

Hello! We are driving from Munich on our way to Salzburg. Unfortunately, I think we will arrive in Hallstatt around 11:00 AM, so late for beating the crowds. Trying to find out if you can drive from Hallstatt to the Salzbergbahn cable car, or if you park the car outside the town and walk or take a bus into town (and then a bus to the cablecar)?
Also would like to know how to get to the Skywalk. We don't want to do the salt mines, just walk around the town for the afternoon, take the cable car and skywalk if time allows.
Do we need reservations ahead of time?
Thanks!

It was about a 10 minute walk from the center of Halstatt to the funicular/cable car. The entire village and surrounding area is very small, so where you park will cover you for the entire visit. The designated parking lots were as close to the funicular area as they were the the village. Just follow the signs. There's no parking within the village of Hallstatt. The parking signs are obvious and every other tourist car and bus will be going to the same place. As I recall, the funicular takes you close to the skywalk, and then you can continue to walk up the hill to the salt mine, which was really fun and interesting. We just bought funicular tickets when we got there, but that was in 2017, so of course it could be different now.

Do take a boat tour on the lake if you are visiting during good weather, and if time permits. It's really special.
Enjoy!
