We would like to attend the 10:00 am service at Salzburg Carhedral on Easter Sunday but are having trouble finding directions to the cathedral and parking information. Does anyone know how to get there and where we can park? Thank you!
Where are you coming from? The Dom is in a highly pedestrianized area so you won't get close.
You have to park in one of the two parking silos literally dug in the rock of the mountain, so you should better exit the motorway at Salzburg west, drive Innsbrucker Bundesstrasse, turn right at Maxglaner Hauptstrasse, and straight into Neutorstrasse; you will find signals directing to Parkhaus Altstadt. As you are almost to enter the tunnel under the mountain the entrances of the two parking silos (Parkhaus A and Parkhaus B) are on your right - be very careful not to miss them as if you drive straight into the tunnel there is not an easy route to come back. Parking silos are expensive but there is not a real alternative anywhere close. The shortest walking path to the Cathedral is Parkhaus B, exiting from Toscaninihof, but also Parkhaus A is close enough.
