I have a few favorites in that area.
Skopik & Lohn (Austrian known for schnitzel), Caffè Altenberg (very special Italian), Sperling im Augarten (great seasonal food), Schöne Perle (Austrian known for the best chocolate cake in the city).
If you want before drinks (or after drinks), I love Madai for aperitivo, Monte Ofelio for cocktails or just go by the Karmelitermarkt which has many cool places.
