Trying to decide between day trips from home base of Salzburg in June. Already have the rest of our time in Salzburg planned.
How would you rank Untersberg (by public transportation bus) versus Konigssee (by public transportation bus) versus Großglockner ( we would take an all day Bob's Tour https://www.bobstours.com/gg.php)?
Which 2 would you choose?
Can one see both Untersberg and Konigssee in one day all by public transportation bus?

You really need a bluebird day to enjoy Untersberg and the same goes for Königssee although you could still enjoy yourself on the lake if it’s partly cloudy but not if it’s windy .. I would say Königssee is more hectic and crowded with long lines.

For an easy day trip, train out to Berchtesgaden, see the sites, have a spot of lunch. Train back, stop in Bad Reichenhall, poke around town, then back to Salzburg for dinner.
Better yet, one hour train to Prien am Chiemsee, ferry to the castle.
