Day trip to Hallstatt and Einfach-Raus tickets

Hello!

We will be in Salzburg in mid-June and would like to do a day trip from Salzburg to Hallstatt (no car, family of 4). We wonder if anyone can comment on these two questions.
1. In Hallstatt we would like to see the ice caves, salt mine and around Hallstatt (museum, chapel, etc). Is it doable time-wise? How much time each of these activities takes?
2. Also, for this trip do the Einfach-Raus tickets cover the Salzburg-Hallstatt bus connections? We travel as a family (2 adults and kids 11 and 15) and Einfach-Raus ticket seems to be the most economical for us but we are not sure about the buses.

Thank you!

I don't believe that the Einfach-Raus covers buses, but there is a regional train connection via Attnang-Puchheim that takes about the same amount of time and is covered by Einfach-Raus. The train stops at Obertraun, which is closer to the ice caves, after it stops at the Hallstatt station.

Hallstatt itself is not a very big town. You should be able to see the whole place easily in a day.

I spent 2 nights in Hallstatt in 2009, but did not go to the ice caves or the salt mine - that's too touristy for me. I did go up the incline to near the salt mine, but I hiked around and took pictures.

What you want to do seems to me to be too much for a day trip, but I didn't do them, so maybe others who did will give better advice. I believe the ice caves are a considerable trek from Obertraun (require use of a cable car plus a hike).
