Danube and Kremstal Winery Suggestions?

Are there welcoming wineries in the Danube and Kremstal areas for visiting, touring, and tasting? We will be traveling in early September with a car and we have passable knowledge of German. Thank you in advance for your insights.

I posted these on another thread:

Schloss Gobelsburg

They have a lovely tasting room in the castle. This is in the Kamptal, a valley not far from Krems.

Bründlmayer

Also in the Kamptal. Pretty famous for their sekt, but they make outstanding still wines as well. Their tasting room is in their pretty, upscale heurigen in the center of Langenlois, a gorgeous wine village.

Another lovely tasting room in a gorgeous setting below a castle, but limited hours. This is in the Kremstal in the village of Senftenberg. They also have a small inn and a very good kitchen. Sometimes they release aged bottles esp Riesling, which can be spectacular.

Also there is a cooperative tasting room on the edge of Dürnstein that will have several of that area's producers on offer, plus maps and info, etc. It's in a very nice, modern building. Professionally staffed. Nearby I can recommend Loibnerhof for a meal, located on the small road (not the big highway) just outside Dürnstein in the direction of Krems. Lovely garden and nice wines.

Elsewhere, Leth in the Wagram makes a wide range of wines, with some good reds. Third generation winemaker there who is 'bringing back' Roter Veltliner, an old native white varietal that mostly got ripped out when Gruner got hip (the two varietals are not related at all). If you see it, give it a try.

Keep an eye out for the 'kellergasse' on your map as you pass thru towns. These are open during daytimes for drinking and light meals or snacks. You usually sit outside the cave on the tiny cobbled way.

Have fun!

Thanks for your replies. Information is rather sparse on the area, other than a Travel & Leisure article some years ago. I appreciate you taking the time.
