Due to a tragic last minute medical emergency, we had to cancel our trip to Vienna, so I'm in the sad process of seeing about refunds for booked events. The opera tickets offered for resale through the Staatsoper office went within minutes, and the Hofkapelle gave us a full refund. But the 2 tickets we returned to the Musikverein for the Vienna Symphony Orchestra featuring Mahler's 9th symphony on Oct.1 have not yet sold, which surprises me because they are choice seats in their price category. So this is just an alert that if you are after last-minute tickets, they are available. I’m happy to provide more details if you are interested.

I'm sorry you had a medical emergency that required you to cancel your trip to Vienna.
Be patient. I think it is likely they will sell... though it might be as late as the night of the performance.
