Will be in Vienna Dec 7 to 12. Planning to go to the Advent concert at Stefansdom but will also go to another performance. Which church or small venue concerts are most intimate and charming? Anything special to recommend?

I would recommend that you attend the Sunday Mass at the Augustinerkirche, which is free.
Also, you should note that Dec. 8 is a public holiday in Austria. Greatest impact is that shops will be closed on that day.

I don't know about intimate and charming but the Augustiner music on Sunday morning is sublime. i loved Vienna and it was my favorite thing we did in Vienna.

St. Peter's Church has the largest offer of musical performances for free, donations welcome.

We are traveling with the Wesleyan College Choir and will be performing in Vienna December 7 and 8. We will be performing at the Vienna Rathouse with choirs from around the world the afternoon of December 8th. We are performing at Christmas Markets and some churches in Vienna, Ljubljana and Salzburg over 10 days.
