I've read that everything shuts down for Christmas Eve and Christmas day and I'm trying to find out how to make some reservations/plans.
We're going to be staying near Innsbruck on Christmas Eve and driving to Berchtesgaden on Christmas day. Any restaurants near or in between these locations that we could get reservations for for a Christmas dinner?
What sort of activities is there to do on Christmas Eve and day if the markets are closed?
This is family time. If you are ready to fight the traffic and crowds take the Söll, Ellmau, Waidring route and you might take a lift up and get some food as if sking. The lift and food will be expensive, but with good weather a nice experience. Some bars will be open in lnnsbruck. A large urban hotel is almost always going to have somewhere to eat any day of the year, they kinda owe it to their guests

Try Aegidihof in Igls, 10 minutes driving from Innsbruck - but do not wait too much time reserving.
