Bus from Dürnstein to Krems – Ticket Options and Boarding Process?

Hi everyone,
I’ll be visiting the Wachau Valley in June and plan to take Bus 715 from Dürnstein to Krems in the early evening. I see that I can buy tickets in advance either through ÖBB (which I’m already using for my Vienna–Melk train) or through the VOR website.

Are there any differences between the two, or are the tickets basically the same? Also, when boarding the bus, is there anything I need to scan or validate, or do you just show the driver your ticket if asked?

Thanks in advance for any tips or recent experiences!

VOR is the public transport's unified fare system for Vienna and its surroundings (up to about 50 miles). The tickets cost everywhere the same, no matter who sells them or which company operates the bus/train.

I have not been on the bus 715, so I don't know whether the tickets are to be validated or not. Just ask the driver.

Why don’t you just buy the ticket from the driver?
