My wife and I may be taking a biking trip next May (Slovenia / Italy / Austria) ending in Salzburg. We are considering traveling to Paris at the end of that trip from Salzburg for a few days there. What is the best way to travel to Paris from Salzburg.

There are several possible train connections (as of this year's timetable). There is one with one change only, but departing at about 5:30am. The other connections involve two changes, the fastest travel time is about 7:30 hours.
There is no direct flight between Salzburg and Paris. You could travel to Munich by train and fly to Paris from there, but you would not save a lot of time compared to an all-train trip.

My family is flying from Paris to Salzburg this year. Lufthansa, one easy change in Frankfurt. Much faster than the train, and when we bought cost was similar.
The airport in Salzburg is very close to the city. Bus from right in front of our hotel in Salzburg will take 13 minutes. That's faster than the shuttle from many "airport hotels" in other cities. So in the city of Salzburg you are almost staying at the airport anyway.
