Hello. We’d planned to do the Seebensee-Drachensee hike this month. However the Ehrwalder Almbahn cable car which is recommended to get to the start is not running until May.
Does anyone have any other recommendations for hikes in the Tirol region that are relatively easy (<5 miles) that can be accessed in April? We’d be driving from Innsbruck for a day hike. We really loved the lake/mountains combination that made that hike so beautiful.

Hiker's paradise is the town Seefeld in Tirol above Innsbruck, i.e. elevation 4000 ft, providing 100+ hiking routes of different length and severity.

Alternatively, Seefeld can easily be reached by a scenic train ride of 36 minutes from Innsbruck.
Yes, many of the cable cars stopped this last Monday with the end of ski season till mid-May-ish. A walk around the Heiterwanger See is nice (might get your feet wet). You might go west to the Achensee. Walk Pertisau to the Gaisalm (open 29 Apr). If the boats are running, you could take one there or back?
