Austria trip tips

Hi

In mid June my grandparents, brother and I are going on a Globus tour that hits Munich, Prague, Bratislava, Budapest, Vienna and Salzburg. Any tips for any of those areas you could give? If you have done this trip, did you like it?

Lastly, I have a very picky brother who eats very little, aka he has tons of chicken strips. What is some good stuff for picky eaters?

There is chicken in Europe. Trying to force a 'broadening' of his palate on vacation will likely make everyone unhappy.

He can just eat schnitzel (like a giant chicken strip, made with pork, veal or chicken), with a side of French Fries. You'll find this everywhere.

Welcome to the forum, by the way. The stops on your tour sound great to me! Enjoy your time with your grandparents!

  1. Avoid SoM bus tours in Salzburg. Do the bike tour. Way more fun.
  2. Budapest is huge. Don't bother with the baths. Visit the Rákóczi Market Hall.
  3. Vienna. The Imperial Furniture Collection is pretty cool, if you are into that sort of thing. Least crowded museum in town and has some stunning stuff.
  4. Make sure you see the Astronomical Clock in Prague. I think they have finished the renovations. Yes, touristy and crowded, but worth it.
  5. Englischer Garten in Munich.
