Assistance in understanding Austrian Addresses

My parents are traveling on a Danube River cruise in October 2024, and hope to visit a family ancestral site near Weilbach. They have been given an address of the site by a family member, but they've been provided multiple spellings for the same thing. Can you assist in helping us understand what is the accurate address format?

What we have received:
Kleinmurham 3, 4984 Kleinmurham, Austria

In your experience, is finding transportation from a hotel in Salzburg to this area doable?
Thanks,
Laura

What I see is: Kleinmurham 3
4984 Weilbach
Austria
That is likely the postal address. Kleinmurham seems to be a rural hamlet of a dozen buildings including one church. It is just over one mile outside of Weilbach, a town with a population of 601.

Hi,

What you have been given is the correct format, ie the 2nd line " Kleinmurham " is the street or road, "3" is the exact location.

4984 is the zip code (Postleitzahl) for Weilbach. The "4" in this zip code indicates Upper Austria, that this particular Weilbach (more than one in Austria?) is located in Upper Austria. (OOe)

You could inquire in the Salzburg Tourist Office about a taxi going out there or the hotel front desk for suggestions.

Kleinmurham is a hamlet belonging to Weilbach im Innkreis. It is about 50 miles away from Salzburg.

If your parents are on a Danube river cruise, the ship will moor most likely in Passau (Germany), which is about 75 miles away from Salzburg (about 2 hours to drive). Will your parents stay in a hotel in Salzburg for some nights?

Kleinmurham is only 25 miles away from Passau, so it would be better to go there from Passau first, and continue then to Salzburg. If your parents have only one day, because the river cruise will continue, this would be the only viable option.

Weilbach can be reached by public transport from Salzburg (about 2:30 hours, 2 changes), the walk from there to Kleinmurham is about 30 minutes.

In tiny hamlets, and sometimes also in not-so-tiny ones, homes may be numbered not in sequential order along streets, but in order of construction or according to cadastral maps (in some cases, clockwise or counterclockwise). What the address means is home #3 in Kleinmurham.

If I search on Google Maps, home #3 seems to be the St. Valentin church, there is an article on German wikipedia about it with photos (you can translate it with google): https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filialkirche_Kleinmurham
