Top tip for those planning to be in Vienna from May 6-8 - the Genuss Festival. Genuss translates to gourmet/good food. The festival takes place in the Stadtpark, with vendors selling food products from all over the country, offering free samples (think Costco on steroids). There are also hot food stalls specializing in the food of each region of Austria. Lots of cheese, wine, sausages, pumpkin seeds. This is a great chance to really get to know Austrian food.
