Can anyone recommend an apartment rental agency in Vienna (other than airbnb)? Or a specific rental you might have been pleased with? My preference would be Districts 1, 3, 4, 9 or possibly 2.

My wife's cousin from New York stayed in this place for two weeks:

We met her there, the apartment was spacious, very quiet, and well equipped. (My wife and I did not stay together with her cousin in this apartment because it is for two people, only.)
A trolley stop is at the corner of the block, i.e. less than 10 minutes to ride to the historic center. Public transport is excellent in Vienna, clear signage, and rather easy to deal with.

I just stayed at this apartment: https://www.tripadvisor.com/VacationRentalReview-g190454-d2213590-APARTMENT_Am_Donaukanal-Vienna.html. It's just north of Schwedenplatz (seriously, maybe a 3-4 minute walk over the bridge to get to the tram/underground stop) along the canal. The location is phenomenal, and I found the accommodations to be excellent. In fact, I'm planning to stay there again next fall. I also used TripAdvisor for an apartment in Munich with the same excellent results.

This isn't an agency in Vienna, as you have requested, but we have booked an apartment through VRBO (now owned by Homeaway), which is the site we have been using for years. We've always had good luck with it.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I just confirmed a week's booking in the 5th within a couple of blocks of WeidnerHauptstrasse. I've stayed nearby in the 4th previously and am familiar with that street and it's transport and grocery options.
That's one third of my housing nights out of the way!!! Just Prague and Krakow figure out now.
