Looking to rent a centrally located one bedroom apartment (no studios) with convenient access to transportation, decent kitchen, washing machine and wifi. Preferably under $150. a night. Can anyone offer a specific suggestion? Thanks!

My son and his friend stayed at this apartment last December for 10 days. It is 2 bedrooms, but was a fantastic option, and the price cannot be beat. It is on Homeaway.com. Property #3882197

Definitely check out Pension Sacher - it has everything you are looking for. They rent 1 and 2 bedroom apartments right across from St. Stephan's Cathedral. They are the nicest people! Great reviews on Trip Advisor too. 129-139 euro a night.

I stayed in this Airbnb flat (wonderful flat in center, hosted by Ursula) in September 2015 and was very happy with it. It is an easy walk to Stephansplatz. My review is posted on the site.

quiet at night? My first trip to Vienna, so unsure what to expect. I will be traveling in May.

Here's a second vote for Pensione Sacher. We stayed in a huge studio with a view of the cathedral, so it looked out over the square and, yes, it was quiet at night. We really liked the owners and visited with them a fair amount and so we ended up walking through most of their units - they have some larger ones and they are all quite nice. The location is absolutely fabulous.

Read the reviews of previous guests. Perfect for exploring Vienna.
Don't be shy using the tram (trolley) or metro (subway). Very well organized with consistent signage. You will get along very easy.
Vienna is safe, no problem walking in the night or using public transport.

It's just a couple of stops away from the metro (walking distance, if you're not too tired), close to the Rathouse and university. We found the location very convenient. The apartment is very quiet because the windows are so good. They block out the street noise completely.
The washer isn't in the apartment but you have access to the one in the building.
