Apartment or Aparthotel experiences in Vienna?

I'll be in Vienna in September for 8-10 days for Vienna Design Week. I'm considering an apartment rental rather than a hotel so that I can handle a few of my own meals and have access to laundry machines. I'm wondering if anyone here has a good or bad experience to share regarding apartment rentals. I'm planning to be in the Altstadt or Neubau area. Or if you stayed at a hotel that served great breakfast I'm interested in that as well!

Check out the Adina hotel. Each room has a compact but full kitchen as well as an in room washer/dryer. They have a nice breakfast.

It's near the train station. (The area is gentrified). There are three supermarkets nearby and plenty of restaurants. Twenty minutes to the center of Vienna.

I've stayed there numerous times.

@Frank II, Thanks for your response regarding the Adina Vienna. Have you stayed at other Adina properties and found them satisfactory?

I have stayed at other Adinas and they were fine. You have to read the fine print as not all rooms at other Adina's have a W/D in the room. The layouts are different.

I've stayed at two in Berlin as well as Nuremberg and Frankfurt. I got upgraded to a one bedroom suite at one of the Berlin properties just for booking direct.

They also supply soap tablets for the washing machine. (Free.)

However, the Vienna property is the best one I have stayed in. It's only a few years old. They also have serviced apartments less than a five minute walk away but that property has a central laundry room rather than w/d in the rooms.
