Anyone hiked the Lechweg trail?

We are looking at hiking the Lechweg trail over 10 days in July 2025. Has anyone here done that , if so, what can you tell me? There are a lot of companies that will transport luggage and book the accommodations- has anyone used a company you would recommend? We hiked the West Highland Way last year and loved it. Looking for another great long distance walk/ hike but haven’t found anyone yet who can give me a first person review of this one.

Sorry no help for the walk, but I think the Lech Valley is underrated and overlooked. Was there in mid June last year and it was great. Stayed in the Hinterhornbach Valley. Drove in on the Bschlaber Landesstrasse. Hiked around Bach. Bought honey in Namlos. Been to Lech and Zürs in years prior. June was a really good time weather wise. Lots of wildflowers. Some snow still in the higher elevations. Take a look at Osttirol too.

Thank you for your comments, mchpp. The valley does look stunning!

Treemoss2- I have, of course, looked at YouTube. Just wanting to hear from anyone on this forum who may have hiked it or knows the area. The more information the better I think when eyeing a multi day hike.

We hiked the Lechweg last year with one of those companies, Eurohike.

I can’t recommend Eurohike highly enough; we’ve used them for years and they have been great.

We did find one or two of the stages not super interesting, so you might consider the short version. But the full 10-day was ok.

LJ- thanks for the Eurohike comments, I’ll look at them. Good to know on a shorter version- do you recall which sections weren’t as fabulous?
