My wife and I are planning on being in Austria and Vienna for our 40th wedding anniversary around the first and or second week of December of this year. 2024. We are planning to of course visit the Christmas Markets and would appreciate any tips on this. Also, are there and special events that we can attend during the Christmas season in Vienna?

The Kramous parades are fun! Look for each cities date. We missed the parade in Salzburg, but the Krampus came to the restaurant we were at for dinner, so got an unclose meeting with them which was fun!

Krampus runs take place on 5 DEC this year.
I'd look at the State Opera and Theaters and see what's scheduled.
