Alpine My Way - mainly for hikers?

Hello everyone! I have been looking at the 12-day Alpine My way tour which looks wonderful and hits a lot of places we have wanted to visit. My question is if you are not a big hiker, is this the right tour? Walking is not an issue; we just are not people that go on hikes. I appreciate your feedback. Thank you!

Switzerland has such an efficient, user-friendly transportation system that you could easily tour this country on your own. Many folks are fluent in English, and flying into and out of Zurich works well. Read the past few months' posts here on the Forum, get the RS Guide book, and save yourself some money in this expensive, but beautiful country . This is not a country of museums and indoor activities, but of outdoor vistas, mountain towns, and breath-taking scenery! Safe travels!

I think someone who is physically able but not necessarily experienced hiking might benefit from a tour because of the logistical support. It looks like there are options in the itinerary description--so you don't have to do the longest hike available, etc.
I'd say compare the itinerary to what you would plan on your own and see how it works out.
I have not been to Austria, but in Switzerland, the gobsmackingly beautiful nature and ease of access thanks to the transportation system are definitely the major point. It is easy to do on your own and trails are well marked.

Looking at the tour "What's Included", this looks like a tour for you. The Tour Manager travels with your group and provides advice and info on sites, how to purchase tickets, and how to use the local transportation.
I haven't done a My Way Tour yet. I see the only drawback as you can't adjust your schedule in case the weather doesn't cooperate.

Id say the My Way tour would be perfect for you. There are plenty of options at each stop - not just hikes. Towns/villages with museums, shopping, restaurants, churches, palaces, etc. Not to mention all the mountains that you can take a gondola or train up/down.

Agree the Swiss and France parts can be done mostly/all by gondolas and chair lifts if there's no interest in walking back down. Might be less choices for those in the Dolomites.
