Accomodations in Innsbruck

Any suggestions for accommodation recommendations for the end of September for four nights for two seniors, 65 and 75, that is moderately priced? What location is most convenient- we will not have a car.

I've stayed at the Hotel Goldener Adler.

It's in the center of everything and has been a residence and hotel since the 14th century. (It's been updated.) Lots of history in the building.

It must be a really popular week there- no availability. I currently have reservations at the Marriott AC as previously recommended but would love to stay some place more of a local feel.

Last fall we stayed at Faktorei Hotel +Cafe and loved it! The view of the river and town from our windows was wonderful! It is modern, very comfortable and the cafe downstairs a delight! Easy walk to the sites.

If you don’t mind being 15 minutes outside of Innsbruck, we’ve stayed 7 times (as recently as Dec. 2024) at the Gasthof Badl in nearby Hall in Tirol. Hall is maybe our favorite old town pedestrian zone. Less crowded, less touristy feel than Innsbruck. Dinner and a stroll through along the cobbled streets and alleys is magical to us.

We do enjoy Innsbruck as well.

I recently stayed at the Pension Stoi which is fairly close to the railway station and in walking distance of the old town. Very comfortable, the only warning is that there is no lift and the rooms are on the upper floors of the building.
