hello
We will be staying in Linz for 2 nights this summer.
I have looked at 2 possible Hotels, The Hotel Schillerpark Linz and The Park Inn by Radisson Linz.
Also we want to be able to get the train from Linz HBF to Melk,
I was wondering if anyone has preferences of these 2 or even other hotels. and is the train easy to get to from these hotels?

If you don't mind to stay in a 3-star-hotel the this would be my choice:

It is right across the square in front of the main train station (Linz Hbf). There is the big hub for public transport (trams, busses) as well, so you can get everywhere quickly.
I recommend visiting the Ars Electronica Center, the "museum" of the future: https://ars.electronica.art/center/en/
The cathedral is the biggest in Austria (by seating capacity).
The tram going up to Pöstlingberg is the steepest adhesion, i.e. non-cog, tram in the world.
