About 2.5 extra days in central, eastern Austria

I have a little bit of extra time in Austria in late May, and I'm trying to figure out how to divy up the time. I will have spent several days in Vienna and a few around the Neusiedler See. I've seen Salzburg and Hallstatt before and spent a lot of time in Vorarlberg, Tyrol and Salzburgerland when I lived in Germany. I'm not planning any Alpine excursions, other than maybe drivng the Großglockner-Hochalpenstraße (never got around to it previously).

So, can anyone compare and contrast Linz, Klagenfurt and Graz? Right now, Graz looks the most enticing, but I could be persuaded to base myself out of any of these cities.

I will have a car from the time I leave Vienna until I fly out.

I once spent a few days in Graz and I always regret not having the occasion of going back and staying a longer time.
I once spent a day in Klagenfurt and this was the right time to stay there.
I once spent a few hours in Linz and they looked already too long a time.
