My husband and I are flying into Vienna next month and will buy our 7-day Vienna transportation passes through the WienMobil app. Does this pass cover the RJ and RJX trains, which look to be the best way to get from the airport to our hotel (Adina Hotel Belvedere)? We will also buy the add-on €2.20 ticket needed since the airport is just outside of Vienna. Thanks for your help - I have scoured the obb website but can't seem to find the answer!
Yes, you can use the pass on the RJ train only if you buy the supplement.
Thanks Emily!
Will this pass also cover the trip to Schonbrunn as well as the heurigers near the Beethovengang tram stop? The obb website says that the pass covers trips in the "Vienna core zone", but I haven't had any luck finding a map showing me where this zone is.

This map is completely outdated. The fare zones and the numbering have been abandoned 9 years ago. It has been replaced by the VOR ticketing system which not only covers Vienna but also an area of about 50 miles around the city.
All transport passes in Vienna cover the complete State of Vienna and are valid for all means of public transport, day and night, unlimited use. Except for going to the Vienna International Airport (and maybe for the Marchfelderhof restaurant) tourists usually never cross the state border.
If you are intersted, here ist the map of what is now called the core zone of VOR, i.e., the whole of Vienna:

Yes, Schonbrunn and the area you describe with the heurigen in the 19th district are all in Vienna. I am certain that you would not even come close to leaving Vienna proper during your visit except to the airport. Buses, subways and trams don't operate outside of the city so you can't mess it up.
