It's been 8 years since Ive been there and we stayed at christkoenig pension which I liked but may not be open any longer. Any ideas in town?

Wonderful city! We stayed at the Weiss Taube Hotel which is just around the corner from the large Old Town square - location of the art museum and Mozart monument. We enjoyed the staff there, and their free breakfast was very nice. The room was small but fine for us.

We stayed at the Weiss Taube as well. the rooms were comfortable, the breakfast good, and the location perfect.

Just back from Salzburg and Vienna (as well as the Pillerseetal) and loved the Hotel Elefant. You can take a bus from the Hauptbahnhof to RatHaus Platz and it's just around the corner. Nice breakfast, great room and WIFI.

Thanks. I love this city, it's so very nice. I will def look into the suggestions, I have a bit of time we are not traveling for a few months, but I want to get something soon. If anyone has any other thoughts please feel free to let me know.
