2 hr. in Innsbruck Train station

Would anyone have any ideas on what we could do in a 2 hr. lay-over in the Innsbruck train station? Is there any good restaurant nearby or an attraction? Thanks.

Hi. Use Rome2Rio to look at destinations. They say you can get to the Goldener Dachl in about 15 minutes. Myself, I would say it would take a few minutes more, but, if you are equipped with a good map (rome2rio) then, it seems possible to get there and back. Of course, getting to the Goldener Dachl, you will have to pass the Swarovski Crystal store. This is of interest to me every time.

If it turns out you are exhausted on arrival, there is a nice supermarket in the train station, with, as I recall, spots to eat. You could just hang there and go outside the station and look up at the mountains.

Oh, Google maps may give a good walking route, too, to the Goldener Dachl.

Yes, if you are a walker you can easily get into the main part of town and return to the station in that time. Even if you don't get into the main square, you can browse shops and experience the area.

Thanks for your suggestions. We will get out of the train station for sure!

I agree with the others, Innsbruck is a small city and easily walk-able. Just head out the door and explore. Just give yourself plenty of time to return.

I like the area along the river, with nice views of the town and mountains.
