Hello all and thank you in advance for any help.
We (mother and grown daughter) will arrive and depart by afternoon train to Innsbruck in late August. Using public transport- no car. Our interests are to hike (1-3 hours, light to moderate difficulty), try 1st time parasail, wander old towns vs busy cities. We are not big on shopping, churches or museums, we do love animals, farms and a cooking class might be a possible interest. Although Zugspitze was on the checklist, seems like it would take a half day out of a tight schedule.
Mittenwald and Hall sound lovely, Seefeld seemed centrally located for transportation and I liked the idea of funicular/cable car and hikes to bottom, but more ski resort in style as far as staying overnight, the parasailing seemed to be south by Stubai - so would Innsbruck be better to stay in?
Does anyone have a suggested itinerary that would include our interests without spending too much time on a bus or train?
