With one day in Vienna and the AM filled with a motorcoach tour, should we take the tour to Schonbrunn in the afternoon or should we take the self walking tour in the Old Town. We have seen the Winter Palace and Versailles.

Hi Nancy, depending on what appeals to you the Old Town area, along with visiting some of the beautiful gardens would be a perfect outdoor day. We also enjoyed seeing the Imperial Treasury at the Hofburg Palace.

Staying in the old town center would give you more variety of sights in a small circumference, with more flexibility to stop briefly as you go, including visiting any part of the Hofburg Palace complex that sounds most interesting.
