Does anyone have some recommendations for a hotel in Vienna thats about 10 mins.walking distance to city center & major sights?

We stayed at the Hotel Stefanie in 2013 and had a wonderful stay. It was a block from the river; close to the subway, tram and centrally located to many restaurants, stores and attractions. The staff and rooms were wonderful. It is located in a quiet part of town. I don't recall the nightly rate, but we did get a good deal on booking.com.

We stayed at the Hotel Beethoven and I can't say enough wonderful things about our stay there. 2 mins or less to the nachtmarkt and a couple blocks to the opera house and therefore the "entrance" to old town Vienna. The room we had speaks small, but everything was perfect. The breakfast was incredible! Check out this gorgeous historic spot, you won't be sorry.

We stayed at hotel Astoria old world hotel half block from old town pedestrian promenade. Can't be beat. In 2013 may we paid $160 for 2persons 4room on expedia. Breakfast was a pricey but beautiful buffet for about $30 so we ate freq at the corner cafe that served a wonderful breakfast for about $10.
