Hello fellow Rick Steves travelers (first time posting on the forum).
I am planning on taking a trip to Vienna and Salzburg in late November, and I have identified the hotel I would like to stay at while in Vienna for 2 or 3 nights: the Hotel am Stephansplatz. It was recommended by the guidebook and I am pleased with its very central location. Currently, the hotel offers a package called "Vienna Days." It includes many things but most importantly nd a Vienna sightseeing pass (here's a link to the program for you to view on your own: https://www.hotelamstephansplatz.at/en/packages/detail/3/vienna-days.html). While I do not care so much about the room view (I don't plan to be in the room for long), I need help deciding if the package is worth the extra money to receive the benefit of the sightseeing pass. It is an extra $300 for the included extras versus booking a single room without the package or the view. I plan to complete the Rick Steves Vienna walking tour, and I'd like to enter as many museums on the tour as possible. I would also like to visit the Sigmund Freud museum. My question is: If you were traveling to Vienna, would you think the extra benefits are worth the money for a 2 night stay? Thank you very much for any advice you can provide!
