We had some really good Thai in Salzburg. If you are interested in will ask my S.O. for the name. Especially good dried squid.

We had dinner one evening at Herzl (https://www.restaurantherzl.at), and liked it so much we went back the following day for lunch. Just off Getreidegasse via one of the passageways, very traditional and tasty menu including a soufflé Nockerl for dessert. It was mostly locals dining there both times we went, would happily go back again.

We had a very good dinner in Dec. 2022 at Johaneskeller. It is cash only, but they have na ATM on site. They do not have a website, but you can find bits and pieces of information on google.

If you don't mind going further into town, we also had a really good dinner at Zwettler's. We have eaten there on both of our trips to Salzburg.

Years ago we enjoyed Gastof Alter Fuchs. And a friend of mine went a few years ago, and she said they returned for a second night they enjoyed it so much.

A few places not too far from the train station - good Italian place called Beccofino and a renowned brewpub Die Weisse.

You should also check out the street called Linzer Gasse which runs from the uphill part of town down towards the river. It has lots of shops and restaurants, yeah it's a bit touristy but not as bad as Old Town. It runs behind Wolfie's house. Since Salzburg is essentially an Italian city inside Austria, you'll see lots of Italian places to eat. Another fun option for a change is Ludwig Burger, near the church with the neat cloisters inside, they also have salads.

Afro Cafe in the Old Town has great food, coffee, and tea. There are vegetarian options.

Ich wollte meine Erfahrungen teilen, weil sie für andere Menschen in Not nützlich sein könnten. Heute zahle ich nach dem vereinbarten Zeitplan zurück, ohne übermäßigen Druck, und ich bin dankbar, dass ich eine menschliche Lösung gefunden habe, wo die Banken mir den Rücken gekehrt hatten.
