Innsbruck Hotel or B&B Suggestions Please

I stayed at the Best Western Plus Hotel Goldener Adler. It's a historic hotel that has been on that spot for hundreds of years. Interesting history inside. In the center of town just down the street from the Golden Roof.

I often go to Google Maps and pull up a city. Then I click on Hotels on the top of the page and icons pop up with the nightly rates. Innsbruck is one of those places where just about anywhere you stay will be just fine. The hotels there are incessantly clean and decent.

We usually stay in a B&B, Gästehaus' or small hotels that we find online. Center city accommodations are increasing in price, but there are all kinds of places to stay there. It's especially nice to have a car where you can get up on the mountainside and ride from village to village.

It's been a while since we visited Tirol, but I went to the university there in 1970. We also love driving the Grossglockner High Alpine Highway that goes south of Zell-am-Zee into the Dolomites of Northern Italy.

It's been a couple of years but we found this hotel https://www.stage12.at/ convenient and comfortable.

Two weeks ago I spend a night in Motel One Innsbruck near main station.
It's not in the old town, but Innsbruck is small enought that you can walk to the main sights.
It's a reasonable priced chain hotel. Highlight is the bar and breakfast room at the top level with 360 degree panorama view over Innsbruck and the surrounding mountains.
Even if you don't stay there you could go there for a coffee or drink.

Best Western Goldener is wonderful and has great staff, a super location and a restaurant!!! Can't go wrong with this choice.

Last year, my sister and I stayed at the AC hotel by marriott. Great location as we could walk from the train station and to the old town. Super breakfast but it cost extra. Great 24-hour hotel staff which one really appreciates when sick with food poisoning. Food poisoning was not from the hotel. 😊
