Hotels RS tours used in Salzburg

I am curious to know the names ( and your reviews ) of hotels used in Salzburg during the RS tours.
I am considering the Alpine tour next May and I am thinking about adding a day or two in Salzburg.

Thank you in advance!!!

If you do sign up for the tour, then the first and last hotel information for your particular dates will be sent to you with the confirmation of your booking, so that you can book longer stays at either end, if you wish. The hotels reserved may or may not be the same as last year or the same for all departure dates. Additional recommended hotels are in Rick's regular guidebooks and in the special book that is offered to members of this tour.

I was on that tour in June. We stayed at the Hotel Hofwirt. I was not happy with my room. It was on the first floor facing the street, right above the entrance. There was noise from sporadic trucks and rather loud pedestrian passers by throughout the night. Worse was that it's a non-smoking hotel, so people would stand outside the entrance (right under my room!) to smoke. Otherwise, it was very nice. There was no AC, just a small desk fan. It was chilly and rainy when I was there. The room was quite comfortable with an open window (when there were no smokers :-).

****Chani,
Did you like this Alpine tour?
I was looking at some of the locations, especially Dolomites and Chamonix, and it seems so much does not open up til at least mid June. I am looking at going the last week in May through June 4th or 5th.

Thank you both for the information.

On a different tour we stayed at Hotel am Mirabellplatz. It was nice - nothing that really stood out, but pleasant and close to Mirabell Gardens.

Yes, I liked the tour. The hotels and the pace were pretty good. Unfortunately, weather was poor for too much of it. Bad luck :-(
