Gasthof Badl was our stop for one night between Salzburg and Hohenschwangau Germany. The hotel is a medium sized guest house across the river from the old town. It has a large car-park and there is a covered foot bridge across the River Inn right in front of the hotel. It’s only a 10-15 minute walk into the heart of the old city. The hotel rooms we fairly spacious and well-appointed but the wash rooms were a bit small – not uncomfortably small, just a bit tight. The hotel halls are filled with some pretty spectacular art work from local artists. It also has two beautiful Bernese Mountain Dogs who greet hotel guests and love any attention people are willing to give them.
