Gasthof Waldrast Reutte Austria

My wife, adult daughter and myself spent two wonderful nights at this Pension. The locations is just beautiful. Green fields, forests and tall shear mountains with snow capped ridges. Our triple room was very spacious, and had a bay window alcove on one wall. We arrived late, 11 PM, in a driving rain/snow storm. With only emails to inform Gerd Huter of our late arrival, he was ready for us and came down to open up the Pension and get us into our room. Such service is hard to come by today. Frühstück is very basic, but I must admit I think there was only one other guest party in the whole place. I never left the table hungry. The views from the breakfast area are fantastic. At night you can see the illuminated Castles. We did the Highline 179 and the Kings' Castles from this location. Peaceful and quiet, with a friendly dog and a cautious cat to greet us. Plenty of great restaurants nearby to choose from. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for country solitude with a car.
