Hotels in Vienna

Hi all,
I just booked a Rick Steves' my way tour for Austria, Germany and Switzerland for our family of 3. I was reading another sites reviews for Hotel Schweizerhof and it was mixed especially about the location. I was wondering if any one has been there in the last 6 months and can tell me if the street repairs/noise is completed or still there and the situation with the bars and clubs that are on the same street.
I am planning on getting there before the tours leaves (Sept) but not sure if I want to stay there, other than for the tour night.

I would suggest you post this on the regular Austria board as you will have a better chance of getting an answer. This board is mainly for reviews. You can also post on the Tripadvisor Vienna forum...many local experts who can answer the construction noise question.

Yes, the likes of which were at Westbahnhof during its expansion and refurbishing, turned the place into a Baustelle...glad all that is over with.
