I need suggestions for a fairly nice seafood restaurant anywhere in Madrid. Occasion is celebrating my daughter’s college graduation.
I’ve read good things about various El Barrils in different neighborhoods (is this a chain?) and many other places such as Desde 1911, Estimar, etc. (too many choices!).
Any strong recommendations are highly appreciated- thank you!
Madrid is landlocked but I am sure there are good seafood restaurants. If searching for Seafood didn't find good enough places in Google Maps, then try Galician restaurants. Galicia is on the Atlantic Coast. Good luck.

We really enjoyed La Trainera -- kind of an old-school institution. Opened in 1966, it definitely has a sort of Mad Men feel, but the food was excellent. Calle de Lagasca, 60 in the Salamanca neighborhood.
