2.5 days based out of Ljubljana

Hi- My sister and I will have 2.5 days in Slovenia, we have accommodations booked in Ljubljana and a rental car. Thinking of spending 1/2 day on arrival in Ljubljana. We have 2 full days otherwise, thinking of taking day trips:
1) Day 1 : drive to Lake Bled, Lake Bohinj, Vintgar Gorge. Spend the day in the area, small hikes etc
2) Day 2: Drive to Julian Alps-Soca Valley and Trigiv National Park.
We're primarily interested in the scenery, historical sights and Small hikes.
We are arriving from Salzburg and leaving to Vienna on day 3( by train)
Is this a good plan? Any other suggestions are welcome as well. We are first time visitors to the area and don't want to be overwhelmed. Going in the second week of May. Thank you!

It would be helpful if you told us a bit more about what you're interested in and want to see and do. And if this is part of a longer trip.

But my first reaction is that you should cancel the car and spend the time in Ljubljana, it is a charming city.

Badger is correct that Ljubljana is a charming city, but I'd still encourage you to see Lake Bled. It's glorious. So maybe take one day for that and spend the rest wandering around town.

Spend your first day and a half in Ljubljana, and if you decide you want to get out of town you can just bus to Lake Bled for the day.
