We stayed at the Kingsway Guest House in July 2022. I cannot recommend it enough. The rooms are spacious and charming. the house is on a quiet street not too far from the Royal Mile. It is very convenient to the city. The breakfast served was excellent with homemade porridge. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. We had trouble with transportation to our tour to Hadrian's Wall and they helped us meet the tour bus by phoning and making arrangements to meet at a bus stop nearby. Rick Steves recommended it in his guidebook and we are glad we followed his advice.
