Program 338a: Tastes of Italy, Paris, and Basque Country Release Date: 05-21-2016

I enjoyed your radio show about the Basque travels and wanted to add that there is a lot of Basque history in Nevada, and a lot of Basque restaurants. Many serve their meal family style, where everyone eats around the same table and the food is passed around, "boarding house style." Many have only menu and one price, and it is basically "all you can eat." One of the unique drinks served exclusively by Basques is Picon Punch. Here are a couple of articles about it....

Only once have I found a bottle of the real Amer Picon, it is very difficult to find!

There is a Basque Festival in Elko, Nevada, which will happen this year on July 1-3, 2016
