Looking for information on private transport from Amsterdam to Rotterdam cruise port. I know everyone says take the train, however my wife does not travel light! I am the porter, taking the train is really not an option. Checking to see if anyone has experience with a private company or just cab it?

Our plan for the Netherlands was to train it everywhere, but I tripped, fell, and hurt my knee the first hour we were there. They have cabs, but Uber had a lot of options too. We did an Uber from Amsterdam to just outside the Hague and it wasn't terribly expensive. Considering I could barely walk, it was a life saver :)

A hotel in Amsterdam or the Amsterdam airport to Rotterdam?
Especially from the airport, the DISTANCE is not great (~40 miles), but the time will still be significant (even more from downtown Amsterdam). I wouldn't "cab" it, but I would look at Uber-esque services to see their pricing.
Separately, often the cruise line has the shuttles from the airports (to/from) as excursions, so maybe investigate the cost/benefit of those. At the least, with a cruise coordinated event, they won't leave without you :D
If from your hotel in Amsterdam, you could contact them ahead of time (call or email) and see what the concierge suggests or can arrange.

Otherwise you can consider Flixbus from Amsterdam to Rotterdam, the coaches generally have plenty of luggage space underneath.

A couple summers ago, we went on a multi-generational cruise. The cruise was supposed to end in Amsterdam but for whatever reason they switched it mid-cruise to Rotterdam. Since we had early flights out of Schiphol and a mixed group, we ordered a couple cars-- we just googled car services.
When we went to take them however, they didn't show up. We called them but apparently someone else mistakenly took them.,So we grabbed two cabs and still had no problem making our flights.
