We have stayed at both the Hotel Savoia & its sister hotel, the Continental in Genoa. They are next to each other & across from the train/bus station, so very convenient when we arrived by train from Nice, & left by bus to the airport. It was an easy, short walk to all the sights. Though a somewhat gritty city compared to others in Italy, there is much to see & we loved Genova.

In Milan, we needed a hotel near the train station for an overnight before our early flight the next morning, so we stayed at Hotel Bernina, which was a small, clean, friendly hotel, within a 5 minute walk to the train station. We once stayed at the large, modern UNA chain hotel, also not far from the train station in a different direction, but the front desk staff was rude, so I wouldn’t return there.

We visited Pisa as a day trip, so don’t know of any hotels.

I hope you have a great trip.

Meliá Genoa

Out the front door - ocean to the left, city centre to the right. Comfortable rooms, extensive breakfast, and a tasty Aperitivo in the evenings. Just down the hill to the left to catch the bus to the wondrous Cimitero monumentale di Staglieno. Don't forget to check-out the fantastic Art Deco stairwell at the hotel.

Genoa is an excellent walking city so take in all that you can.

Lots and lots of typical cuisine items to taste during your stay in the City - tasted best with a glass or two of Vermentino.

Make the most of your vacation.
