Snaefellsnes vs South Coast Tour

Am I crazy to pick the Snaefellsnes Tour? Should I try to do both?

I only have 2 full days in Reykjavík. Flight is booked so I can’t add a day. Arriving 9:40 pm on Thursday, June 6 and departing early am on Sunday.

No, you are not crazy to choose Snaefellsness. It is like a mini Iceland, so you get to see a real variety on the peninsula.

Definitely not crazy - it's a stunning peninsula. That said, the south coast is superb too with some spectacular scenery but difficult to choose between the two.

I would actually lean towards Snaefellsnes. The south coast is more dramatic BUT not as unique to Iceland. Don't get me wrong, it's fantastic! But the Snaefellsnes Peninsula is so uniquely Iceland, and doesn't look like anywhere else I've been to. It's a hard choice but that's what I would do! You can't go wrong either way, though.

One difference is that Snaefellsnes has attractions perhaps closer together than the South Coast, But both require vast amounts of driving. Are you renting a car or taking a tour?

I’m taking a tour since I am traveling solo. In the end I bit the bullet and signed for both the Snaefellsnes Peninsular and the South Coast Tours. No time to explore Reykjavík but what the heck I’ll just have to return.

Thanks for everyone’s help.
