Has anyone done this cruise? Any feedback? We know it's not super fancy. We love the itinerary for 7 days. Thanks.

Never been on this cruise and based on the reviews on TripAdvisor will Never go on it.
But it is TripAdvisor so some of the reviews have to be taken with a grain of salt, but I've never seen so many bad reviews.
Hope you'll read the reviews and decide for yourself.

We are booked on the Celestyal Journey departing May 11th. There is a Facebook group (Celestyal Journey, public group) that has been posting regular updates for the last couple of weeks. Most of the first-hand accounts have been quite positive and the pictures have been spectacular.
There have been a couple of posts where people have said, if you're looking for a cruise with water slides and cotton candy machines and entertainment for kids, this is not the right one. Basically we look at it like a floating bed. We are very excited.

We have just finished our Idyllic Aegean cruise with Celestyal. We really can’t say anything negative. Food was great, rooms were clean. It is not a brand new ship but I feel that it looks great. It is not a luxury cruise but you are not paying the price for that. We preferred the dining room at supper time, but only did the buffet for breakfast. We did not upgrade for drinks and never paid for dinner at the other restaurants. You did not have to dress up fancy. Some were in jeans and t-shirts, others dress pants or dresses, in the dining room. Just no shorts allowed. Staff is amazing. We would go again in a heartbeat. One thing they need to work on is the islands you disembark with tenders. We book our own excursions so we were not allowed off until their guests who booked with them got off. I would recommend not booking excursion times as soon as you dock, try to do it at least 2 hours after the docking time, or make sure you can communicate with the booking company if you are delayed. We went with 2 other couples and we all said we would definitely sail with them again. We do not need fancy, but still expect good food and cleanliness.
