The Resident Kensington Review

Well it’s really in Earls court but it’s still a very nice hotel for the price. Each room has a little kitchenette. I’m in a double it’s small, but definitely workable. The single rooms are cheaper but I decided that was smaller than I wanted to go. The kitchenette has a small refrigerator, a microwave, Sink and some basic utensils

The bed was comfortable. The hotel is quiet. The area seems very safe. I know Earls Court has kind of a down market reputation but walking on the street between the hotel and the underground the cars parked in front of houses tend to counter that. I’ve seen a Maserati, a Ferrari l, two Porsches, several BMWs, a couple of range rovers, etc.

For those you who are fans of Premier inns it’s very close to their Kensington hotel so if you stayed at that hotel, you will know about the area it’s in. I would definitely come back here.

Thanks, Carol, for the review. Could you give us an idea of the price range? And was breakfast included? I love the idea of the kitchenette.

I've been staying at this hotel for eight years and will be back in a few days.

The prices vary depending on the room type and time of year. You'd be better off going to their website and see what's available when you want to go.

The kitchenette is great--microwave, refrigerator, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, utensils, plates, cups, mugs, built in Brita water filter. They supply all the coffee, tea and milk you need.

They don't have a kitchen but you can order breakfast from a nearby cafe and it will be delivered. Honestly, there are so many choices for breakfast within a five minute walk, I'd go out for it....or buy something to keep in the fridge.

Each evening between 6 and 7 you can stop by the lobby for a free glass of wine or prosecco.

If you do want to stay here, or any of the Resident Hotels, sign up for their "Members" program for a 15% discount. No charge to sign up.

It might cost a little more than the Premier Inn but the service is amazing.

And no problem getting ice.

I echo was has already been said. I stayed the Resident Kensington twice (before the pandemic) and at the Resident Victoria last year. I will be staying again at the Victoria location laster this year. Another noteworthy positive for me is the front desk staff. They are so friendly and helpful.

This is also one of the hotels I regularly stay in when I visit London. I’ve been staying here since 2010 (it has changed names a couple of times) and it has become my “go to” in London because it is quiet, comfortable, has a decent shower, kitchenette, and AC. The single room is almost too small to turn around in, so I go with a double. Pret, Paul, Caffe Nero, and M&S Simply Food are within 2 blocks of the hotel and those are among the places where I pick up breakfast. There are also a couple of pubs that serve breakfast, but I have never eaten at them.

I have a question about the Resident Victoria, is it multi story & does it have a "lift" ?
I am considering it since it appears to be so very close to Buckingham Palace as well as Victoria station.
Thanks
