Culinary Backstreets Tour in Naples

This is the first Culinary Backstreets tour, in fact the first food tour, that I have done, and I will definitely do
Culinary Backstreets tours whenever I can in the future. Another couple on my tour said that they do a food
tour in every city they visit, and this was the best one they have ever been on. Our guide, Francesca, was wonderful. Not only did she take us through the backstreets we never would have found on our own, but she included the historical context as well as the delicious food and wine offered for our tasting by multi-generational family businesses. The amount of food was more than we imagined. Be aware this tour lasts 5 hours and is worth every minute.

Culinary Backstreets' tour of Naples was also my first food tour, and it has definitely raised the bar for any future food tours I take! My guide was Chiara Garofalo, and she was great. I am glad to hear that you were impressed with your guide, too. We visited the man who paints the traditional signs for produce markets, and he created a lovely souvenir for me, his positivist take on Goethe's saying. Instead of "Vedi Napoli e poi muori," my sign reads, "Vedi Napoli e poi vivi"!
